Our Philosophy

Vision, Mission and Values

Our Vision

“Poipoia te Kãkano kia puãwai”

“Nurture the seed and it will blossom”.

The philosophy of Little Ranges Early Learning Centre is based on the principles and strands of the New Zealand  early childhood curriculum Te Whariki.

We value a supportive and safe environment where families and staff form a strong community, working together for the care and education of the tamariki of the community it serves.

We practice manākitanga – the process of showing respect, generosity and care for others. Through our words and our actions, we model and we encourage! We view our children as strong, capable and competent equal human beings.

Our Mission

Our Values

-To recognise each individual child and their whanau as unique

-To provide a curriculum that empowers tamariki to learn and
grow

-To provide a natural environment that encourages spontaneous   learning

-To acknowledge and foster the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi - The Treaty of Waitangi

Our values are modelled by our kaiako in all that they do.

-Manaakitanga/Aroha Kindness and Compassion -
